RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Two people were arrested after an armed carjacking in Raleigh led to a chase Friday afternoon, police said. According to the Raleigh Police Department, the carjacking happened on Appliance Court around 4 p.m.(Greg Funderburg/CBS 17)(Greg Funderburg/CBS 17)(Greg Funderburg/CBS 17)A CBS 17 team at the scene learned the chase lasted 15 minutes before ending in the area of Poole Road and Donald Ross Drive. Police said two suspects were arrested in connection with the chase.

"Our family is heartbroken over this loss."According to Briggs, a Wake County, North Carolina, deputy came to her family's home on Lord Berkley Road Tuesday at 10:20 a.m. to serve a civil summons. "It was a personal matter and nothing criminal," she said. Briggs said she was out of town, her husband was at work, and their four children were in school.
