RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The Alzheimer’s Association has released a new report, sounding an urgent alarm as the disease has now affected more than seven million individuals for the first time. “We’ve witnessed a surge in diagnoses, particularly among those in the highest-risk age group, over 65,” shared Christine John-Fuller, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Association of Eastern North Carolina. That’s a four percent increase from last year’s report.
