By Gus SaltonstallIn September, the popular 1.25-mile Cherry Walk stretch of the Hudson River Greenway between West 100th and 125th streets closed for reconstruction work. By West Side RagIt’s a bird…it’s a plane…no! It is the time and temperature display screen on the Upper West Side Apple Bank building! On Saturday, a crew of workers hoisted the new and improved display screen onto the building at West 73rd Street between Broadway and Amsterdam. “We’ve been waiting for this day,” a project manager who did not give their name, told West Side Rag.
