Smoke from Canadian wildfires left much of upstate listed in the "unhealthy for sensitive groups" category Sunday, according to the state Department of Environmental Conservation. The Adirondack Mountains had the worst air in the state, just one point away on the air quality index of being unhealthy for anyone to breathe.

ALBANY — Keri S. Mazzuca was sentenced to 25 years in prison Friday in Albany County Court for the death of her newborn, an infant boy whose remains were found beneath Washington Park’s statue of Moses nearly 30 years ago.
