ALBANY — A man with a knife confronted and chased U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone III Tuesday night outside a downtown hotel, according to an official familiar with the case. The man approached Sarcone and, after a brief exchange of words, pulled a knife and lunged toward Sarcone, who retreated into the Hilton on Lodge Street, the official said. ALBANY — A Long Island judge accused of invoking his position to chastise his local school board for not making his son valedictorian and to keep police from "booting" an acquaintance's car has been censured by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Long Beach City Court Judge Corey E. Klein agreed to the censure, the commission announced on Monday.

BALLSTON SPA — Part of Route 50 is closed while firefighters battle an intense fire underneath the canopy of a local gas station. The Ballston Spa Fire Department said the fire is burning at the USA Gas, which is located at the intersection of Route 50 and Route 67.
