    COLONIE — The owners of a Wolf Road hotel that housed migrants lost their appeal of a lower court’s ruling that allowed Colonie officials to enforce town code at the business. Migrants are no longer living at the SureStay Plus or any of the other upstate hotels that starting in the spring of 2023 were utilized by New York City to house them. But instead of ruling the matter moot, the Appellate Division of state Supreme Court proceeded with the case.

    ALBANY — For a second day in a row, schools in New York could not administer standardized tests because of problems with the computer system students use to take the exams. The ongoing problem has prevented schools, including Albany, Bethlehem and East Greenbush, from conducting tests for grades 3-8 earlier this week.
