WATERFORD — A Troy police officer fired a single shot at a suspect on Saturday after the person allegedly fled a traffic stop in a stolen vehicle and led police on a high-speed chase, according to the Troy Police Department. Police say the suspect led officers on a high-speed chase through the city of Troy. The chase continued over the bridge into Waterford and ultimately ended on Division Street in Waterford, police said.

ROTTERDAM — Police are seeking information after a brawl outside a Hamburg Street bar turned into a shooting early Saturday morning. Police were called just before 2 a.m. to Fritz’s Taproom for a reported shooting after an argument turned physical in the parking lot, Rotterdam police said in a news release. During that fight, an unknown person shot one of the people involved, police said.

BETHLEHEM — A 37-year-old Albany man was killed in a one-car crash on Krumkill Road Monday morning. Bethlehem police said the driver, Ryan T. Collins, was traveling west near 185 Krumkill Road when his vehicle crashed into a utility pole around 5 a.m. Collins was pronounced dead at the scene. Tropical Storm Debby has made its way into upstate New York with heavy rain and warnings of possible flooding. The Capital Region will likely be spared the worst of it, meteorologists said, but the Mohawk Valley and Adirondack Mountains may not be as lucky. Meteorologists still expect the Albany area to get more than an inch of rain but up to 3 inches could fall in parts of the western and souther Adirondacks. Parts of the Catskill Mountains, including Hunter, could see up to 3 inches too.

ALBANY - The Ten Broeck Mansion will be closed until next Saturday for storm damage recovery, according to the Albany County Historical Association, which oversees the historic site and its four acres. Though the mansion dating to 1798 itself was not affected, there was tree loss and other damage, Association Executive Director Kathryn Kosto said late Thursday evening.
