ORLANDO, Fla. - On Friday, Herman Law is set to hold a news conference to announce a lawsuit against the Diocese of Orlando amid new child sexual abuse allegations against a late priest. Palm Bay Police said 24-year-old Brandon Kapas shot and killed Father Robert "Bob" Hoeffner, 76, and his sister, Sally Hoeffner, 69, inside their home in January 2024.

OCALA, Fla. - A 40-year-old Ocala woman accused of robbing a bank in Ocala has been formally indicted. On Thursday, U.S. State Attorney Gregory Kehoe announced that a grand jury has returned an indictment against Christina Gates Thagard, charging her with bank robbery. If convicted, Thagard, who used to be a Marion County sheriff's deputy, could face a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison.
