MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLNS) – Memory-making moments was the saying repeated countless times by Michigan State Men’s basketball coach Tom Izzo. Sunday’s exhibition between Michigan State and Northern Michigan was the first collegiate basketball game ever at the Superior Dome. Spartan guard Jase Richardson described it as playing in a mini final four. The actual game part though, was just a small part of a weekend that surpassed the expectations set by many. “This trip meant a lot to me,” Izzo said.

(WLNS) — Michigan State Football Coach Jonathan Smith is meeting with the media today following the team’s first of two live scrimmages that took place at Spartan Stadium on Saturday. Tight Ends Coach Brian Wozniak, as well as junior tight end Jack Velling and redshirt junior linebacker Darius Snow, will also take the podium following Smith. Velling has a lot of publicity around him after putting together an incredible campaign under Smith and Wozniak at Oregon State.
