YORK COUNTY, Pa — Central Pennsylvania woke up to some major storm damage Wednesday morning, with downed power lines and debris scattered across roads, particularly in York County. The intersection of Susquehanna Trail and Church Road in York County shows some of the damage, as a telephone pole lies across the intersection, one of many hazards commuters may encounter.

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa — One year ago, on July 10, a fire broke out in the early morning hours, quickly destroying the historic brick building of the Broad Street Market. The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire later determined that the fire was caused by an electrical issue with a fan, displacing around 23 vendors and leaving a lasting impact on the community. The loss of the Broad Street Market was felt deeply by both vendors and the public, but they refused to be defeated.

The Transplant Games is an Olympics-style competition for organ and tissue transplant recipients. The games are meant to celebrate the strength of organ and tissue transplant recipients and serve as a heartfelt thank you to the donors who have given the gift of life.

ADAMS COUNTY, Pa — In a heartwarming turn of events, several animals rescued from a bus and trailer allegedly used for bestiality have found new beginnings, thanks to the efforts of the Adams County SPCA. Cletus, a bull calf, was among the animals discovered living inside the trailer and bus. Lori Wetzel, a dedicated vet tech at the Adams County SPCA, described Cletus as having very low energy when he first arrived, likely from the prolonged confinement and mistreatment.
