PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Five University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) students have been arrested in connection to violent threats made online, according to school officials. The UMES Department of Public Safety officers and Maryland State Police arrested the male students around 9:45 p.m. on Friday. School officials said they collaborated with State Police to ensure everyone on campus was protected from any potential threat to their wellbeing.

HARTLY, Del. – Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect wanted in a shooting investigation. On March 31 at 11:19 p.m. troopers responded to Sherwood Forest Way in Hartly for a reported shooting. A 35-year-old man had been shot and taken to the Hartly Volunteer Fire Company. The victim was later taken by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators are seeking 40-year-old Myreon Lindsey of Stevensville, Maryland.

MARYLAND – The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has issued a report sounding the alarm about 68 bridges across 19 states following the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore. Both spans of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge were listed as in “critical” need of repairs in the report. Officials used guidelines issued in 1991 by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials to make their recommendations.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Repaving on Rehoboth Avenue will resume next month, depending on weather conditions. City officials say the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will resume its work likely sometime during the second week of April. Paving was completed in the fall from the bandstand to 2nd Street. Work was halted in mid-December due to the early arrival of cold temperatures, which can impact the quality of paving, city officials say.
