LORAIN, Ohio -- The Lorain Port and Finance Authority board of directors has approved a $5 million bond issuance for the Black River Landing amphitheater project in the city of Lorain. This financing, backed by the Lorain County Commissioners, advances a key component of a $10.9 million redevelopment plan to create a permanent performance venue at Black River Landing.

AVON LAKE, Ohio — The Avon Lake Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its most dedicated officers, retired K9 Ady, who died in March at the age of 15. Ady, a Belgian Malinois who dedicated more than a decade of service to the Avon Lake Police Department, joined the force in November 2011. He aided officers with police work and community engagement until his retirement in May 2022. “Ady was a good dog for Avon Lake,” his handler, retired K9 Officer Jared Rudduck, told cleveland.com.
