    Lorain native Naz Bohannon is focused on making an impact in Lorain County —even while building his professional basketball career overseas. A 2017 graduate of Lorain High School, Bohannon played college basketball at Youngstown State and Clemson before signing with Phoenix Hagen of the German ProA league in July 2023. Since joining the team, he has already earned a championship and all-league recognition.

    RE/MAX Above and Beyond is on a mission to beautify Lorain, starting with its own building. The real estate “community hub,” as agent Jacki Jakacki calls it, recently unveiled a new mural on the back of its building at 404 Broadway in downtown Lorain. Jakacki purchased the building two years ago with a vision for community growth. Before the mural, the back wall was covered in graffiti and hate speech, she said.
