INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith says he’s frustrated over a property tax bill approved by Indiana lawmakers this week. The plan is a scaled back version compared to what Governor Mike Braun was asking for. Under the scaled-down version, the total loss of revenue to local governments is now $687 million over three years. The original version offered up by Gov. Mike Braun (R) would have cost about $1.6 billion.

CLOSE INDIANAPOLIS – IMPD released body camera footage Friday of an officer involved shooting on the east side from last October. The shooting happened on October 14, 2024, around 2 in the morning. According to IMPD, officer Roman Ervin-Williams responded to Bubbaz Bar and Grill because of a reported shooting. The bar is located just north of East Washington Street and North Mitthoefer Road.

INDIANAPOLIS – IMPD released body camera footage Friday of an officer involved shooting on the east side from last October. The shooting happened on October 14, 2024, around 2 in the morning. According to IMPD, officer Roman Ervin-Williams responded to Bubbaz Bar and Grill because of a reported shooting. The bar is located just north of East Washington Street and North Mitthoefer Road. Officer Williams was seen in the video entering in the bar.

CLOSE INDIANAPOLIS – Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced Wednesday that Rodregus Morgan has been convicted for his role in the shooting and killing of Tracy Harmon. IMPD officers were sent to the 3000 block of Osceola Lane to investigate a shooting on October 23, 2023. Both Harmon and Morgan were found inside of a car. Harmon was pronounced dead at the scene and Morgan was passed out in the driver’s seat.

Julius Beverly Sentenced to 48-Years in Prison for Murder

CLOSE INDIANAPOLIS – Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced a 48-year prison sentence for Julius Beverly who was found guilty of killing Da’Kylen White last December. White’s body was found behind the wheel of his car on September 4, 2022, in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 4200 block of North High School Road.
