LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The Lynchburg Police Department said a man was not arrested after he barricaded himself in his home due to police serving him warrants. LPD shared with ABC13's Hayden Robertson that they received a call at 6:23 p.m. Saturday evening in reference to a shots fired at the intersection of Pierce Street and Park Avenue. Police said they responded immediately but did not find any evidence to show any shots were fired.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The Lynchburg Academy Center of the Arts announced Friday that CEO Geoffrey Kershner will be stepping down from his position. The Academy announced that Kershner will be leaving the role this December. Kershner spoke to ABC13's Hayden Robertson Friday afternoon about his decade of work in the area.
