DENVER (KDVR) — The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a senior alert after a man was supposed to return home on Wednesday, but his car was located without him on Thursday. According to CBI, Rodney A. Guilinger went to Conejos County to “do some scoping” on Wednesday. He was scheduled to arrive home by 3 p.m., but never arrived. CBI said his car was found on Forest Service Road 380 in Conejos County on Thursday.

DENVER (KDVR) — A case involving what police called a “clandestine grave” discovered in an Aurora residence in April 2023 has come to an end after both suspects pleaded guilty under plea agreements. Haskel Crawford, 40, pleaded guilty to a charge of second-degree murder in March, alongside a sentence enhancement charge of violent crime causing death. The district attorney’s office dismissed charges of first-degree murder and tampering with a deceased body.

Kenneth Blakely, 26, faced six charges in connection with the incident, ranging from first-degree murder to attempted assault and two sentence-enhancing charges of using a weapon during a violent crime.

Ignacio Cruz-Mendoza, 47, is a citizen of Mexico. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Cruz-Mendoza in late March after he was released from serving his sentence for the crash. He had been sentenced to serve one year in jail for his role.
