A driver led troopers on a high-speed chase while his brother tried to interfere from a different car, authorities said. The trooper tried to stop the first vehicle for improperly merging at about 8:20 p.m. May 7 on Interstate 90 near Preston, the Washington State Patrol said in a news release. The 21-year-old Honda driver refused to pull over, so the trooper performed a PIT maneuver going under 40 mph, troopers said. However, the tactic didn’t stop the driver and he sped off, troopers said.
