(WGHP) — A second 18-year-old is facing several charges in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of Carver High School in early May, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. At around 7:59 p.m. on May 1, a “disturbance” between individuals escalated before multiple gunshots were fired. A teenager later arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was not a Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools student.

    DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is now facing more charges after an additional 19 people were allegedly defrauded by a carport company in the Triad. According to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, they began a fraud investigation involving Triad Carports and Metal Structures, Inc., doing business as Triad Carports, located in Lexington, in early 2025. As they investigated, they identified 25 victims who had been defrauded out of money by the company for work that was never completed.
