ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman accused of killing an Alamance County teen in a head-on wreck appeared in court for the first time on Monday. Tracey Hernandez appeared virtually in a wheelchair, dealing with injuries from the crash. Lily Hahn was supposed to graduate from Southeast Alamance High School last week, but the crash cut her life short. Instead of a graduation party in her honor, family and friends of Lily packed the courtroom to face the woman accused of causing the crash.

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Alamance-Burlington School System students and staff are mourning one of their own after a senior died in a crash on Monday that sent five other people, including four children, to the hospital. Around 12 a.m., Lily Hahn was killed in a head-on crash while going south on Highway 87. She was supposed to graduate soon. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating. Troopers said a car going north crossed the center line and crashed into Hahn’s car.

ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — Asheboro Fire and Rescue is investigating after an explosion caused extensive damage to a pair of restaurants. Just before midnight on Saturday, an explosion was reported near Coach’s Neighborhood Grill on N.C. Highway 49 that caused the roof to collapse along with a wall, according to the Asheboro Police Department.
