Police held a press conference on Monday afternoon, warning parents about unruly teens hanging around downtown. It’s gotten so bad that police say one instance involved an 18-year-old assaulting a police officer. The past few weeks have been chaotic for downtown Winston-Salem.

MEBANE, N.C. (WGHP) — A Mebane family has identified 3-year-old Hunter Hatch as the little boy who was killed in an accidental shooting. Around 7:55 p.m. on Wednesday night, Mebane officers came to the intersection of West Lee Street and South First Street after getting a report of shots fired. At the scene, police found Hunter inside a car with a critical injury and a gun. He was taken to the hospital and died that night. Investigators say that the gun went off accidentally inside the car.

EDEN, N.C. (WGHP) — One of the four people who died in a crash in Eden was 30-year-old Matthew Lockwood. His best friend, Robert Russell, said they grew up together in Forsyth County. Both men became Eagle Scouts and went on several camping trips.
