    An environmentalist from the Weymouth and Portland Marine Litter Project visited Weymouth Harbour over the weekend to check on their crab recycling bin station. However, the volunteer was greeted with 'a tsunami of rubbish.'  The volunteer said: "I actually thought it was going to be an evening in front of the TV as there wasn't much on Weymouth beach, broken toys, a few cans and bottles including two glass bottles and a small pile of rubbish.

    The unveiling (Image: YFW Bloodbikes) Volunteers at a lifesaving charity have unveiled a new emergency response vehicle. The YFW Blood Bike group which serves Dorset and south Somerset have recently received a mega fundraising boost of £25,000 from the Mark Benevolent Fund. The fund has given more than £515,000 to Blood Bike groups across England and Wales since 2018.

    As reported, the unit - which has entrances in St Mary Street and St Thomas Street - is set to be transformed into an arcade for over 18s known as an adult gaming centre in a plan worth more than half a million pounds that will create new jobs. That change of use plan for the building has been approved by Dorset Council, and now another planning application has been made for signs and new shopfronts at the site, which will be known as Trident Casino.
