    Raids in Weymouth (Image: Weymouth and Portland Police) Police raided a home to search for drugs. Officers executed a warrant at an address in the Westham area of Weymouth yesterday morning. According to police, it came in response to community intelligence regarding the supply of class A drugs. Police attended the property on Hereford Road - but say they didn't find anything other than drugs paraphernalia.

    Fire broke out on Mountain Ash Road (Image: Google) A large fire broke out in the county town in the early hours. Five fire engines were sent to Mountain Ash Road in Dorchester. The fire service was called just before 2.40am. According to a fire service spokesperson, the fire started in a garage. Several road in the area were closed off while firefighters tackled the blaze.

Steven Rawlinson, who was originally convicted for blackmail, is sought in connection with a failure to comply with the requirements of a court order. Rawlinson, aged 43 and from Torbay, has links to Dorset and Hampshire.

    The Lemon Tree (Image: Hollie Carr) A restaurant has announced its sudden closure. The Lemon Tree, on the coast road at Swyre, posted a short statement online stating its restaurant is 'permanently closed until further notice." The restaurant opened just last year after major overhaul. It had sat empty after the closure of The Bull, and Dorset business partners Marianna Browning and Craig Davies took it over with a dream to turn it into a ‘Mediterranean oasis’.
