Dorset woman Skai, 34, missing - urgent police appeal

Police are searching for a missing woman from and are appealing for help from the public to find her. Skai, aged 34, is described as 5ft 3ins tall and of slim build with purple tinted short hair. She was last seen wearing a purple jacket, jogging bottoms and white trainers. The last sighting of Skai was leaving an address in Churchill Road, Poole, at around 5.20pm this evening.
Wine World opens new shop on South Street in Bridport

A new independent shop specialising in bin-end wines has opened in a town centre. Wine World has taken over the premises which used to house a Weldmar charity shop on South Street in Bridport. The family-run business is run by Julian Packer, 59, and wife Amanda, in her 50s. Mr Packer said he's 'always been looking' in Bridport and praised its quirky and unique character.

A35 closure between Bridport and Axminster March 5

A35 roadworks are planned for tonight, March 5 (Image: Jennie Mulcahey) A large stretch of the A35 will close tonight. The road will shut between Bridport and Axminster for work to be carried out. It will close at 8pm this evening and is scheduled to reopen at 6am tomorrow. It comes after the road shut on multiple occasions last year for work.

Work will be carried out in March and the road will close between Bridport and Axminster on March 5. It'll shut at 8pm on the 5th and is scheduled to reopen at 6am the following day. It's the latest in a series of overnight closures after the road shut on multiple occasions last year for work.
Charmouth beach visitor warning as rock falls from cliffs

Rocks can be seen crashing onto a beach in video footage which has sparked a warning this weekend. A fossil hunter captured debris from crumbling cliffs at Charmouth cascading onto the beach below - with no sign of stopping. It comes after days of heavy rain which often makes cliffs more likely to give way imminently. It must be stressed, that cliffs are unpredictable, unstable and can fall at any time. The weekend is set to welcome nice weather after a bleak start to the year.
Police hunt for driver who sped from East Street, Swanage

Police are hunting a driver who made off at speed when they tried to pull them over. At around 6.40pm yesterday, a black Volkswagen Scirocco was seen by officers driving carelessly in East Street, Swanage. Officers followed the vehicle along the A351 past Corfe Castle where it made off at speed and failed to stop. They searched the area but the vehicle and driver were not located.
