ATLANTA, Ga. (WLNS) – Michigan went toe-to-toe with top-seed Auburn for much of the game Friday night but saw its season end in the Sweet 16 with a 78-65 defeat. Michigan was up nine in the second half before Auburn embarked on a 20-2 run to take control and never looked back. Danny Wolf led Michigan with 20 points while Auburn star Johni Broome led all scorers with 22 points and 16 rebounds. The win over Michigan means Auburn and Michigan State will play on Sunday for a trip to the Final Four.
