Newberry Deputies, Fire Service, SLED, and the Newberry County Coroner’s Office are investigating a fire that has left one person dead. According to the Newberry County Investigators, they received a 911 call around 2:03 this afternoon of a fire on Green Acres Rd. in Silverstreet. Investigators say that the fire was started after the homeowner and another individual got into an argument that resulted in the homeowner being stabbed. The assailant then retreated into the home and a fire started.

Highway Patrol has identified the person who died from a fatal collision. According to the Lexington County Coroner, 21-year-old Mason Reusch-Fulmer was killed after driving into a tree. Reusch-Fulmer was traveling south on Summerland Avenue when he traveled off the right side of the road where he struck a tree. Reusch-Fulmer was not wearing a seat and was pronounced dead on the scene. The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol will continue to investigate the incident.

Orangeburg, SC (WACH) — Update: Mr. MarionMoultrie has been found safe by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. Orangeburg County investigators are looking for a man who was last seen Friday morning on November 29th. 88-year-old Marion Moultrie was last seen driving a white van with a license plate of SC LGR-900. Mr. Mountie is described as a black male with a thin build, wearing a brown jacket, black shoes, and eyeglasses.
