    OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) - An Ohio County woman was arrested on multiple drug charges. On Saturday, July 27, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on three individuals inside of the Ohio County Park after witnessing a drug deal, according to a citation obtained by WBKO. Authorities searched the vehicles and found around one pound of methamphetamine, scales and drug paraphernalia. A search warrant was executed allowing deputies to install a tracking device on one of the vehicles.

    BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating a burglary that took place at Prince Hookah Smoke Shop, located at 116 Bookstore Way, on Monday, July 15. The store’s security system alerted the owner that an unidentified suspect was inside the business. The suspect forced his way into the business, caused over $1,400 worth of damage to property inside and then stole merchandise. The suspect was wearing dark clothing and had a mask covering part of his face.

    BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Conference USA (CUSA) announced on Monday that Lucas Carneiro, kicker for the WKU Hilltopper football team, has been voted the 2024 CUSA Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year. These awards are voted on by the conference’s 10 head coaches. The redshirt sophomore from Cornelius, North Carolina was previously named to the 2024 CUSA Preseason Watch List after receiving CUSA Honorable Mention and CUSA All-Freshman Team recognition last season.

    GLASGOW, Ky. (WBKO) - Two females were injured following a vehicle accident in Glasgow on Tuesday, June 4. The Glasgow Police Department responded to the accident on Glenview Drive. Officials said a female juvenile was traveling west in a 2005 Volkswagen. She crashed head-on into a 2006 Pontiac driven by Wanda Staples. The female juvenile and Staples were treated at the scene by the Barren/Metcalfe EMS. They were later transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

    BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The Bowling Green Police Department is actively searching for a man with a warrant for his arrest. Joshua Webster fled from a traffic stop. He nearly struck two officers in the process of fleeing the scene. Later, Webster crashed into a fence and ran from his vehicle. Officers found fentanyl and other drugs inside his vehicle after he fled the scene.
