COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – A stalled front with lots of Gulf moisture will yield higher-than-usual rain chances through mid-week. TUESDAY: As moisture lingers in the vicinity of a stalled frontal zone, scattered to occasionally numerous showers and a few storms are likely through the day. Highs will likely hold in the 70s thanks to widespread cloud coverage and off/on rain coverage.

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – A stalled front and weak upper-level winds will mean several opportunities for rain this week. MONDAY: The sky will be variably cloudy, warm, and humid with showers and storms likely. Heavy rain is most likely thanks to lots of moisture and slow movement of the storm activity, but a locally strong wind gust or two isn’t out of the question. Thankfully, the severe risk is expected to remain very low.

FRIDAY NIGHT: A slight breeze will stick around overnight with lows only dropping to the lower 60s. WEEKEND: Warm weather continues as highs remain in the upper 80s Saturday.

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Above average temperatures take hold starting Thursday into the Easter weekend. THURSDAY: Expect more sunshine and a slight breeze by afternoon as highs reach the low 80s. THURSDAY NIGHT: Scattered clouds with overnight lows in the mid to upper 50s. South winds of 5-10 mph will prevent temps from falling as much as previous nights. FRI/SAT: Warmer! We’re expecting highs in the middle to upper 80s both day under a partly cloudy sky.

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Highs stay in the 70s for Wednesday, but a substantial warming trend develops for the week’s end into the weekend. WEDNESDAY: After a much cooler start, lots of sunshine should help temperatures reach into the middle 70s area-wide with light, variable winds. WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Temperatures will fall off into the middle and upper 40s – not as cool as the previous night.

THURSDAY - we have yet *another* risk of severe storms in the late afternoon and evening hours. Large hail and damaging winds will be possible in the strongest activity, so be prepared for some t-storm warnings! I don't see much of a tornado risk as of now. https://t.co/R8Kwv7cu1L
