I have heard some wild sports analogies in my days. Coaches seem to always come up with some wacky saying or example to try and motivate their team to win football games. What Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott did might be the wildest one of them all, using the terrorists who conducted the 9/11 attacks as an example of teamwork and togetherness.

Kristaps Porzingis had a decision to make this Summer. He eventually opted into his contract and was traded to the Boston Celtics. Porzingis obviously had a say in the trade considering that he had to opt in to make it all happen. On the latest episode of The Old Man and the Three featuring JJ Redick, Porzingis explained why he picked the Celtics as his next landing spot. The part where Porzingis talks about the Celtics is right at the beginning of the episode.

With the Athletics giving the middle finger to the city of Oakland, East Bay fans have come up with a solution: Dozens of Oakland residents have banded together to create the Oakland Ballers, also known as the B’s. Jeff Passan of ESPN was one of many that broke the news Tuesday. The Ballers will be part of the Pioneer League, an independent baseball league that is considered an MLB Partner League.

Robert Saleh is easily one of the worst head coaches in the NFL and it seems like nobody cares. Saleh continues to show us over and over again that he sucks. When is someone going to talk about it? When is someone simply going to acknowledge that this guy brings nothing to the table other than being a meathead? A: Let’s start with this. Saleh is a defensive guy that specializes on the defensive line. Riddle me this. If he’s so brilliant why does his team stink at stopping the run?

In the Cincinnati Bengals’ highly anticipated Thursday night matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, there were a ton of injuries. Odell Beckham, Jr., Mark Andrews, and Joe Burrow were all hurt during the game, with Andrews being out for the rest of the year. Burrow threw a go-ahead touchdown to Joe Mixon to put the Bengals up 10-7 a few minutes before halftime. After he released the ball, he immediately winced in pain and began to hold his right wrist.
