SAN ANTONIO — Officials with Comfort ISD said in a Tuesday letter to parents that they're looking into allegations of an "inappropriate relationship" between a teacher and student at the district's high school. The district said "action was taken immediately" after it learned of the allegation on Friday, but didn't specify further. CISD administrators say they're now working with law enforcement. The Kendall County Sheriff's Office confirmed to KENS 5 it was involved in an investigation.

SAN ANTONIO — The U.S. Capitol Christmas tree lighting will take place on Tuesday, November 28, after a weeks-long journey to Washington D.C.  The tree arrived in the nation’s capital the week before Thanksgiving, and a San Antonio man is being credited with its safe and successful arrival. Jesus Davila, who drives for Werner Enterprises, was selected to deliver the 63-foot Norway spruce, which hailed from the Monongahela National Forest in West Virginia.

SAN ANTONIO — A new Texas law that went into effect last month requires schools to have at least one armed officer at each campus, regardless of a district's size. But districts across the state are having a hard time meeting the directive set forth by House Bill 3, which was introduced in response to the Robb Elementary School massacre in Uvalde last year. One month into the mandate, we set out to see which San Antonio-area districts are in compliance.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio ISD is considering closing 19 schools – the majority of them next year – as part of a "rightsizing" plan put into motion amid declining enrollment for one of the city's biggest districts. Fourteen of the schools are elementary facilities, four others are early childhood education centers and the 19th is Lowell Middle School, located on the near west side.
