DALLAS, Pa. — Just days after the start of summer break, the Dallas School District is working to dispel a fabricated story about a mass shooting being told by a former student. "It's my 26th year in Dallas, and I could tell you that, thankfully, we've never had an event like that in our school district, and obviously, you all know about it as well, so it's very troubling and disheartening that was a story that was being promulgated," said Dr. Thomas Duffy, Dallas School District Superintendent.

SCRANTON, Pa. — Scranton firefighters took to the water Tuesday to rescue a man who somehow found himself floating along the Lackawanna River. The man, whose name was not disclosed, was spotted in the water just after 10 a.m. near the West Olive Street bridge. Rescuers got to work. At first, the man seemed intent on avoiding the fire crews. However, the rescuers soon passed him some safety gear and walked him out of the water and toward an ambulance. He then went to a hospital, authorities said.

SCRANTON, Pa. — In the back corner of the Washburn Street Cemetery, dozens of graves were cleared of overgrowth for Memorial Day. Making way for American flags to once again mark the headstones of those who served. "I just lost my father in January, and he was a Korean War veteran, so I think it's really important that we as a nation come together and honor these men and women who fought so hard for our country," said Amy Cusick with Christmas Miracles from Heaven.
