Denver Pioneers men's ice hockey is heading to its 20th Frozen Four. The Pios flew out to St. Louis Tuesday, where they will face the Western Michigan Broncos at Enterprise Center, home of the NHL's St. Louis Blues, in the national semifinals. "We want to be the team that no one wants to play," head coach David Carle told CBS Colorado. The Pios are trying to repeat something the program hasn't done since 1961 -- win three college hockey national championships in four seasons.

A child under 1 years old living in Denver County has become the second confirmed measles case in the state in 2025, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment confirmed on its website Monday. According to CDPHE, the baby is unvaccinated and had recently traveled with family to an area of Chihuahua, Mexico, where there has been an ongoing measles outbreak.

Geilond Vido-Romero, a man who officials say escaped the U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement detention facility in Aurora in March, was recaptured Tuesday in Denver, the U.S. Marshals Service Denver shared in an X social media post. Vido-Romero originally escaped ICE custody on March 18 with other detainee Joel Jose Gonzalez-Gonzalez, who was recaptured in Adams County on March 21.
