City council’s decision to end the scheduled service depots for London’s largest tent cities runs the risk of alienating the people in them and increasing their desperation, advocates say. After a fire and propane tank explosion at the Watson Street Park encampment along Wellington Street and the Thames River in early April, council voted to shutter the depots a week ahead of schedule and replace them with a new, mobile system.
