The administration’s goal has been to deport all undocumented immigrants in the U.S.Those in attendance said the crackdown has gone too far.

    Nearly seven years later, a metro father is still seeking justice for his son, who was shot and killed. Twenty-six-year-old Dylan Hill was found dead in December 2018 near 80th Terrace and James A. Reed Road in Kansas City, Missouri. "It's a never-ending nightmare that never stops," said Randy Hill, Dylan's father. It's a pain no parent ever wants to feel. "My grandkids need their dad. I need my son. I miss him. He was taken way too early in life, you know, and for what? I have no idea," Hill said.

Except in Jackson County, where there is no full-time emergency management director. Jackson County has not had a full-time emergency management director since 2021. Right now, Jackson County Executive Frank White’s chief of staff is the interim director. A county spokesperson told us that's how the county has operated most of its existence.

    A spokesperson at Spectrum says customers in the Kansas City area are experiencing an outage due to two separate fiber cuts on its primary network. Spectrum says one of the cuts was caused by a criminal act of vandalism and another to a third party's network that would normally provide backup for our network and allow services to remain functional. Teams are working to get customers back online as quickly as possible as network engineers work to identify rerouting solutions, says the spokesperson.
