While many Michigan cannabis users are looking forward to 4/20 weekend for sales and tradition, many of the shops they'll be visiting on Sunday will be concerned about profits. Not because of door-busting sales, mind, but because sales across the state have been in decline for some time now. While Michigan is touted for selling cannabis at low prices and the public is more than happy to buy, the dollar numbers aren't hitting the way people on the business side of the industry would like.

The Great Lakes are home to plenty of wildlife, but not all of the creatures beneath the Lakes' surfaces are beneficial to the ecosystem. The Detroit Free Press recently published an article detailing the dangers of an invasive species that is terrorizing fish in the Great Lakes, and it's only getting worse. You may have heard of "Vampire Fish". Fishers in the Great Lakes have been unfortunate enough to see them latched onto their catch.

One of the first things I noticed about Michigan when I moved here just over two years ago was just how many local chain restaurants there are. For a while, it was a bit of an annoyance because I was missing some of my favorite regional chains in the south. Thankfully, I've learned to love some of these prestigious local chains across the Mitten State. But there are so many that are worthy of being the state's favorite spot, it's no easy task to narrow it down.

I seem to start a lot of articles this way lately, but there's no getting around it: everything is more expensive these days. Detroit Lions fans have plenty of reasons to be buzzing about one of the team's biggest stars. Former No. 2 overall pick Aidan Hutchinson, a hometown product from the University of Michigan by way of Plymouth, had a big weekend in the news headlines. Firstly, it looks like Hutchinson is nearing a full return from the fractured tibia and fibula he suffered six months ago against the Dallas Cowboys.
