Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and unsecured objects. Look out for flooded roadways while driving. Be sure to look out for hail as well.

    Posted: Feb 20, 2025 / 03:43 PM EST Updated: Feb 20, 2025 / 03:47 PM EST A winter weather advisory remains in effect for Erie County in Pennsylvania and Chautauqua County in New York until 4 AM tonight. Snow accumulations could reach another 2 to 4 inches from this afternoon to tonight. The highest amounts could occur in the snow belts south of the immediate lakeshore where the lake-effect snow bands are the most persistent.

    (WJET/WFXP)– A mix of snow and freezing rain is on its way to the region again and the National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for several counties in the region starting this weekend. Winter weather advisories have been issued for Erie, Crawford, McKean, Venango and Warren Counties along with Ashtabula County in Ohio. All advisories will be in effect at 1 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday except for Warren and McKean which will run from 3 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.

    (WJET/WFXP)– January weather will be out in full force in the coming days for the area with lake effect snow warnings, winter and cold weather advisories being issued for several NWPA counties along with Chautauqua, NY and Ashtabula, OH. The lake effect snow warning for Chautauqua County will remain in effect from 7 p.m. Sunday until 10 a.m. Wednesday with projected snow accumulations ranging from 10-20 inches in the most persistent areas and winds strong enough to cause drifting snow.
