Photo by James Gilbert/Getty Images With less than a month until the 2025 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins’ secondary remains a work in progress. Whether it’s a cornerback or a safety, drafting a defensive back in the first round could solidify one of the roster’s largest issues. On Tuesday, Kevin Nogle, the Phinsider’s managing editor, projected South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori as the Dolphins’ first-round pick. NFL Media’s Daniel Jeremiah followed suit in his latest mock draft.

Photo by David Rosenblum/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images Attention is turning to the 2025 NFL Draft with the first wave of free agency slowly coming to a close. Cornerback, defensive tackle, and guard are obvious needs at pick No. 13, but safety remains another possibility.

Photo by Nick Cammett/Diamond Images via Getty Images With Tua Tagovailoa, Tyreek Hill, and several large contracts on the books, the Dolphins must find affordable contributors—but they can’t all be rookies. The Dolphins have already re-signed five players and reportedly hope edge rusher Emmanuel Ogbah will join Elijah Campbell, Liam Eichenberg, Quinton Bell, and Tyrel Dodson.

Photo by Matthew Visinsky/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images The Miami Dolphins are stuck bargain shopping in free agency, as salary restrictions prevent them from fully replenishing the roster. Even with 10 draft picks to work with, the key is finding players that can hit the ground running in year one. Offensive linemen Armand Membou and Kelvin Banks have been mocked to the Dolphins, and either first-round Georgia defender, Jalon Walker or Malaki Starks, would instantly improve the defense.
