The suspect in the murder of Amanda Johnson, was indicted on June 21, 2021. Acosta was in court Monday and again Tuesday.

VICTORIA, Texas — On Thursday around noon, DeLeon Plaza was abuzz with excitement as approximately 15 vintage vehicles from T-Fords of Texas and the San Antonio Model T Club rolled into town. The event is part of the club's 50th anniversary. Members are celebrating with a cross-country tour of South Texas. The century-old cars, which can reach speeds of about 30 mph, took the scenic backroads whenever possible, adding a touch of nostalgia to the journey.

VICTORIA, Texas - Just before 2 p.m. Thursday, the Victoria Police Department referred an animal bite call from the emergency room at DeTar to Victoria County Animal Services (VCAS). The incident occurred on Raab Road. A spokesperson said the victim’s dog is in heat and two stray male dogs entered his yard and started fighting. The victim said he tried to break up the dogs, at which point he was bitten on the hand by one of the loose dogs. The victim is not familiar with the dog that bit him.

VICTORIA, Texas - The Victoria Fire Department responded to a fire Saturday afternoon at 18125 FM 1686. The Victoria Compost Facility will remain closed though Monday and reopen Tuesday. Smoke was visible Saturday and the fire is expected to smolder for several days. Staff helped contain the fire within the facility's perimeter. No word on how the fire may have started.
