MINNEAPOLIS — Across the globe, Fringe Festivals bring creatives together to celebrate unfiltered artistic expression, typically showcasing a wide range of comedy, dance, poetry, workshops, and theatre from emerging artists. Being surrounded by so many like-minded people creating work they love and are passionate about, it’s only natural to form friendships.

PARK CITY, Utah — As one of a handful of films premiering at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival already having secured a distributor, Mark Anthony Green made his feature film directorial debut with “Opus.” John Malkovich stars as Alfred Morett, a legendary pop star who vanished 30 years ago but was never forgotten. MINNEAPOLIS — Another Oscars ceremony has come and gone and while many of the nominees are still available to watch in theatres, something more exciting is hitting the big screen. In the year I’ve spent writing this (almost) weekly segment celebrating the films released in Twin Cities theaters, I’ve only once congratulated us moviegoers — when we survived the 500+ days without a new Luca Guadagnino film. Now, it’s time for another round of applause.
