ALMOND − A 77-year-old Almond man is dead after a one-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Portage County. The crash was reported at 2:52 p.m. April 16 on Portage County W, west of Portage County BB, in the town of Almond, according to a news release from the Portage County Sheriff's Office. The initial investigation found a sedan driven by a 77-year-old Almond man was traveling east on Portage County W when it crossed the centerline, entered the north ditch and struck a tree.
