The study includes 2156 current PTSD cases and 2921 trauma-exposed controls from 9 civilian cohorts: BEAR, DNHS, DCHS, GTP, NIU, Shared Roots, AURORA, H3A_Rwanda, WTC; and 9 military cohorts: GMRFQUT, MRS, PRISMO, Army STARRS, PROGrESS, NCPTSD/TRACTS, INTRuST, and VA cohorts (VA-M-AA and VA-M-EA). For DNHS, GTP, MRS, PRISMO, and Army STARRS, two different datasets were available based on the DNAm array.

AbstractGrimAge acceleration has previously predicted age-related morbidities and mortality. In the current study, we sought to examine how GrimAge is associated with genetic predisposition for systemic inflammation and whether psychosocial factors moderate this association. Military veterans from the National Health and Resilience in Veterans study, which surveyed a nationally representative sample of European American male veterans, provided saliva samples for genotyping (N = 1135).
