COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - History made in St. Peter’s Square. Pope Leo the 14th walked out of the Vatican to greet an enthusiastic crowd. “It actually brought tears to my eyes to see him greet the crowd. It was powerful,” St. Mary’s attendee Ben Igo said. Nathan Schneider, a religion professor at UC Boulder, says this is a monumental move for the church. “The idea of an American pope is something that many Vatican watchers just would not have thought possible,” Schneider said.
