On Wednesday, USA Hockey announced that Bemidji State’s men’s hockey associate head coach would serve on the American bench as an assistant for the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship. Winter got the call from head coach Bob Motzko “a few weeks ago.” Winter will officially serve as a video coach.

Battling the heat and still without power, as I was forced to move out of my condemned apartment unit, I reached for a hand towel out of a bin I packed earlier that day. I picked up a small, white cloth and soaked up the sweat pouring out of me.

BEMIDJI – The Titans knew Parkers Prairie had a little more to give. While the first game of Thursday’s doubleheader ended in just five innings, an 11-0 win for the Bemidji American Legion softball team, the second game provided more drama. The Titans pulled out a 5-3 win in nine innings to sweep the slate at the BHS softball field. In the top of the ninth inning, Kenley Anderson put Bemidji in business with a leadoff double.

If Iran wanted to strike military targets, it could. There are plenty of viable options far from civilians. But its actual strikes, on city centers, apartments, hospitals, and buses, prove the real aim is terror, not tactics.
