    INDIANAPOLIS — Biotech giant Roche has announced a $550 million investment in Indianapolis that will expand its diagnostics manufacturing hub by 2030. With this expansion, the Swiss-based company will focus on manufacturing continuous glucose monitoring systems with the expectation to create hundreds of highly-skilled manufacturing jobs. Indianapolis will be seen as a key site for Roche’s glucose monitoring solutions which is crucial for managing diabetes.

    INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said three people showed up to area hospitals after being shot early Monday morning on the city’s east side. IMPD believe all three victims, including one woman, were injured in the same shooting that happened at around 2 a.m. near the intersection of 34th Street and North Arlington Avenue. Victims showed up at emergency rooms at Community East, IU Methodist, and Eskenazi Health hospitals. All three are reportedly in stable condition.

    CLOSE WASHINGTON, D.C. — Progress on a U.S.-China trade deal appears to have been made. Following weekend talks in Switzerland, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says both countries have now agreed to pause their reciprocal tariffs for 90 days, with both sides lowering those rates by 115 percent. Chinese goods had been hit with tariffs as high as 145-percent under the Trump administration.

The argument is that brain damage is what caused Ritchie’s criminal behavior when he stole a van then ran from police before shooting and killing Beech Grove Police Department Officer William Toney in 2000.
