EASTON - Easton voters approved the town's next budget this week, finalizing a 2.65% spending increase driven by increasing education costs. The nearly $51.3 million budget passed a town referendum Tuesday with a 632-153 vote - a turnout that represents roughly 10% of the town's estimated population but an uptick from last year's 700-person showing. Easton's mill rate is set to take its largest leap since 2020 as the budget goes into effect, with a 3.96% jump from 29.54 to 30.71.
