FAIRFIELD - The Representative Town Meeting could take back its vote in March to dissolve the Fairfield Parking Authority due to alleged "procedural and legal deficiencies," according to the agenda for its regular monthly meeting. The RTM, in a vote on March 31, approved plans for the Fairfield town government to take control of the parking authority, which has overseen parking fees and permits at the Fairfield and Southport train stations as a quasi-independent agency for years.

WEST HARTFORD - A fire on a Taylor Road property destroyed a garage and injured a homeowner Saturday morning, according to the town's fire department. West Hartford firefighters responded to the blaze at 10:55 a.m. and found the garage, an adjacent fence and the exterior of a neighbor's house on fire when they arrived four minutes later, according to the department. James Silver, the town's assistant fire chief, said the homeowner's injury was minor, and the individual refused medical care.

HARTFORD - A stolen vehicle from New York City and four guns inside it led to the arrest of two men in Hartford overnight, according to police. Hartford police said officers with the night street crime unit spotted the stolen vehicle around Airport Road and Locust Street around 10:48 p.m. Friday before stopping it and taking two occupants into custody.

By Jarrod Wardwell WOODSTOCK - A crash between a car and motorcycle landed a patient in the hospital with possible serious injuries overnight, according to state police. State police Troop D responded to the crash on Somers Turnpike in the area of Perrin Road in Woodstock around 10 p.m. Friday, according to an email from the agency. They said a Lifestar helicopter took the patient to the hospital, and the scene cleared at around 12:25 a.m.
