In May, two staff members of the Israeli Embassy in Washington - a young couple on the verge of becoming engaged - were fatally shot while leaving an event at a Jewish museum, and the suspect yelled, "Free, free Palestine" after he was arrested, police said. The victims were identified as Yaron Lischinsky, an Israeli citizen, and Sarah Milgrim, an American woman - a young couple about to be engaged.

We sort of knew it was coming, but the Broder family officially announced they will not rebuild and reopen Terzo at the corner of 50th Street and Penn Avenue in South Minneapolis. In an Instagram post, they wrote that “the time, energy, and resources needed to rebuild Terzo are beyond our capacity.”In February, a water main break caused massive flooding that destroyed Terzo.

But it’s time to face reality: We have good ’cue! Really good! It’s all over the state—with variations inspired by everywhere from Texas and Tennessee to the Carolinas.

801 Fish on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis suddenly closed this week. The 801 Restaurant group spent a lot of money renovating and refreshing the former McCormick & Schmick’s in the central business district, but the large space never attracted enough diners. We enjoyed it—Executive Chef Lawrence Kirkland is very talented, and I’m told he’s staying with the site to develop a new concept.
