    Palestine Community Theater’s much-anticipated production of “The 39 Steps” will make its fall season debut at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 at the historic Texas Theater in Downtown Palestine.     Anderson County Commissioners approved the extension for the temporary burn ban Monday following a continued rise in the county’s burn index. Anderson County Judge Carey McKinney had issued a seven-day burn ban on Thursday, Oct. 3 and asked the court to consider extending the order. “The burn index Thursday, in some parts of the county, was 670 and in the northern parts of the county it was 729,” McKinney said. “Today it’s 681 as an average and a maximum of 735, so it’s gone up.
