HYDE — Not playing a game in 13 days due to the poor recent run of bad weather didn’t seem to affect the Philipsburg-Osceola Lady Mounties on Monday afternoon as they easily defeated the host Lady Bison 14-3. Alivia Bizzarri pitched and hit her way to the win, blasting two homeruns among her three hits, driving in six runs, and picking up the win in the circle by going five innings and giving up only one earned run and striking out nine Lady Bison against one walk.

SOMERSET — The Clearfield Lady Bison couldn’t carry over the momentum from their come-from-behind 10-9 win over Hollidaysburg on Tuesday, as they fell behind 2-0 after one inning on the road at Somerset Friday in an 8-3 loss. The visitors cur the lead in half in the top of the third, but a sin run salvo by the Lady Eagles in the bottom of the fourth inning was too much for the Lady Bison to overcome.

HYDE — There was definitely no shortage of contributors to the victory as the Lady Bison won a back-and-forth affair 10-9 in walk-off fashion Tuesday afternoon at the Bison Sports Complex. The last of the home team’s 10 hits, a single down the left field line from Eve Siegel on an 0-2 pitch in the bottom of the last inning with two outs, drove home runs number nine and 10, giving the Lady Bison a dramatic 10-9 win over the visiting Hollidaysburg Tigers.

TYRONE — The Clearfield Lady Bison did not play their best game of the year offensively, as evidenced by their lowest run output of the season, nor defensively, as evidenced by their season high four errors. Nevertheless they left Tyrone with a 3-2 come-from-behind win that set their early season record at 3-1; that after on 0-4 start last year. The visitors struck quickly, jumping out to a 1-0 after three batters in the top of the first inning.
