LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A restaurant specializing in drive-through coffee creations is coming soon to Louisville. Dutch Bros Coffee plans to open its first location in the city this summer at 9101 Taylorsville Rd. According to a news release, a typical visit will include "upbeat music, energetic broistas and outstanding speed, quality and service." Dutch Bros was founded in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992, and now operates 1,000 locations in 18 states.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — WHAS11 is partnering with the American Red Cross Saturday to raise funds for those impacted by catastrophic flooding across Kentucky and southern Indiana. Conditions along the Ohio River in downtown Louisville forced the Kentucky Derby Festival to cancel this year's Thunder Over Louisville celebration, which was to be broadcast on WHAS11. However the show will go on, just in a different form.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man was found guilty this week of selling several pounds of methamphetamine, and faces over a decade in federal prison. According to court documents, Terry Masden, 51, distributed six pounds of meth in April 2023 to co-defendant Dominique Kemp, 43, both of Louisville. Masden faces a mandatory minimum 15-year sentence. There is no parole in the federal system. Masden was found guilty this week of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. — A car ran off the road and into a creek Thursday in New Albany. The incident occurred about 3 p.m. in the area of 10th and Main streets. Numerous fire trucks and ambulances were at the scene. A large tow truck was also spotted near the creek. Authorities have not provided information about potential injuries or the circumstances leading to the crash. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Expectations are on the rise for University of Louisville basketball coach Pat Kelsey, and so is his salary. The UofL Athletic Association Board of Directors met Thursday and approved a proposal to raise Kelsey's annual base salary from $2.3 million to $3.3 million. Kelsey led the Cardinals to 27 wins and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament this season -- his first in Louisville. The new contract is effective July 1 and runs through March 2030.
