FLORENCE, Ala. (WHNT) — A 34-year-old man accused of shooting another man in the foot has been arrested, police say. Florence Police responded to a report of gunshots fired at Hearn Trailer Park on Friday, April 11. Upon arrival, officers found a 21-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot. FPD said that the victim was transported from the scene by EMS to receive medical treatment.

PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A Montgomery man was arrested after a traffic stop in Priceville on Monday. Officers with the Priceville Police Department pulled a vehicle over near the intersection of Point Mallard Parkway and Marsha Avenue around 9 p.m. Police told News 19 that a K-9 Unit was deployed during the traffic stop. While searching the vehicle, authorities found unprescribed medication, drug paraphernalia and a loaded firearm.

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — An ongoing investigation focused on the illegal distribution of fentanyl has landed a Hartselle man behind bars. On April 8, agents with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Simmons Road in Hartselle. During the investigation, agents conducted a controlled purchase of fentanyl from the home. While the search warrant of the home was being carried out, Mark Tyler Mayfield, 33, of Hartselle was arrested.
