HOLMDEL, NJ – Holmdel scored five unanswered goals in the second quarter and went on to a 12-3 boys lacrosse victory over Northern Burlington on Thursday. Finn Buchan collected two goals and four assists and David Perrotti scored three goals for Holmdel (6-7), which had a 9-2 lead at halftime after a 5-0 second quarter. Marcus Cremele and Anthony Serini each scored two goals and Ryan Pescatore, Joey Marino and Ryan Volpe had one goal apiece in the win.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Nick Hardy took a shutout into the seventh inning and Colts Neck hung on for a 4-2 baseball victory over Ocean Township on Thursday. Hardy pitched 6 ⅔ innings and allowed three hits and three walks and struck out eight. Neither of the two runs he allowed were earned. Nick Hayden gave up a hit and also got the final out for the save. Miles Schneider went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI for Colts Neck (11-5), which led, 4-0, going to the bottom of the seventh.

HOLMDEL, NJ — On May 2nd, the Jersey Shore Chinese School was honored to take part in a special celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, presenting a vibrant display of Taiwanese culture at the Holmdel Library.
