EDISON, NJ - The township council unanimously approved the 2025 municipal budget at their regular meeting on Wednesday. The township passed a $175 million budget resulting in a less than 1% increase in municipal taxes. All members of the council praised the budget, while some criticized Mayor Sam Joshi for not attending the meeting to make a budget presentation.

EDISON, NJ - The township has issued a flash flood warning for Wednesday, May 14, until 7:30 PM. Residents are cautioned to avoid any unnecessary travel and to avoid any flooded roadways. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning due to excessive rain in parts of Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, and Morris County.

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Memorial Day is just 12 days away. So, be sure to mark the calendar for the borough's 2025 Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26 at 1 p.m. The upcoming parade kicks off at Spotswood High School before heading out onto Summerhill Road. From Summerhill Road, the route turns right onto Main Street. It continues up Main Street before turning onto Devoe Avenue. The parade route concludes at American Legion Post 253. Hot dogs and refreshments will be served at the American Legion.

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The SHOP at St. Peter's is celebrating veterans this Memorial Day weekend by offering a free shopping day on Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. until noon for veterans and their families. This event is not open to the public. It's a veterans-only event. There will be hot dogs, soft drinks, coffee, tea and pastries. The two-hour free shopping day also includes the retirement of military uniforms.
