The Nanaimo RCMP are investigating a dog-bite incident last week where the victim needed stitches. It happened about 10:30 a.m. on April 9 on Superior Road, near Island Highway North. Police said the victim was passing a woman who was walking a large dog on a leash when the dog appeared to get spooked, then turned toward her. The woman with the dog lost her balance and was dragged a short distance before the dog bit the victim on the arm.
