    PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Residents have been evacuated as crews respond to a fire at an apartment complex in Pflugerville on Monday afternoon. According to the Pflugerville Fire Department, the fire is at the 2100 block of Falcon Village Lane, near East Pflugerville Parkway and State Highway 130. Around 2:30 p.m., fire units on the scene reported smoke showing. The public has been asked to avoid the area. No other information is available at this time.

    AUSTIN, Texas — Police have identified the body of a man found shot to death near the Mueller neighborhood on Friday. The Austin Police Department said a homicide investigation is underway after Angel Santos-Martinez, in his early 20s, was found “with obvious trauma to the body.” APD is asking anyone in the community who knew Santos-Martinez to contact police so detectives can gather more information.

    GEORGETOWN, Texas — A family is displaced following a house fire in Georgetown on Sunday morning. According to the Georgetown Fire Department, the fire was reported shortly before 7 a.m. in the Berry Creek subdivision, near Interstate 35 and State Highway 195. Multiple crews and fire investigators responded to the scene. No one was injured in the fire. The American Red Cross is assisting the family.

    AUSTIN, Texas — A new owner has acquired Thom’s Market’s three Austin locations and plans to reopen them under its own brand this month. The neighborhood grocery store is closing for good after 18 years. The owner of Thom’s Market, Bill Thom, is retiring. Store officials say all three locations – on Barton Springs Road, Riverside Drive and Burnet Road – will close their doors one final time on Easter Sunday, April 20. Thom’s Market has been in operation since 2007.

    TAYLOR, Texas — Police in Taylor say a man’s death reported as suspicious last month has been deemed accidental. Police said someone reported a man – later identified as 39-year-old Trenton Delayne McCormick – on the ground outside of a residence early Friday morning, March 28, at the Stepping Stone Apartments near Davis Street and Mallard Lane.
