A 37-year-old Carson City woman was arrested April 9 for suspicion of two counts misdemeanor domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report. At around 6 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 3300 block of South Carson Street for a report of an active domestic battery. The víctim and reporting party told dispatch that her stepmother had hit her and her father and that they had separated themselves from each other.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of gross misdemeanor violation of a temporary protection order for stalking and harassment, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report. Deputies were dispatched at 12:13 p.m. to the 1700 block of College Parkway for a miscellaneous dispute. Dispatch advised there was a protection order that hadn’t been served and two parties were in an altercation over a video recording, the report states.

A 49-year-old Reno woman was arrested early Tuesday for alleged misdemeanor trespassing and violation of Department of Alternative Sentencing conditions, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report. According to the booking report, the woman had been trespassed from a North Carson Street casino four times since 2022 and returned to the casino early Tuesday. The woman is on DAS with one of the conditions being not to trespass at the casino. Bail: $3,000 cash.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office advised Monday there is phone fraud targeting locals in which the scammers are impersonating law enforcement officers. There has been a recent uptick of these scammers calling local residents, posing as officers or deputies from the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, in order to extort money and get personal information. The scammers are saying they are deputies, sergeants or captains and providing the real names of officers.
